How do book now pay later options for hotels work?
Most accommodation sites will allow you to secure a rate at the time of booking. You'll usually need to put down a credit card as a form of security in case you choose to cancel or don't show up for your booking, but if you're not paying right away, your card shouldn't be charged. It's recommended to check the booking site's terms, just to be safe.
For sites that work that way, you'll pay for your stay upon arrival at the hotel. You'll either have the credit card on file charged or you can pay with another one at the front desk.
If you're booking using Afterpay, you'll have 8 weeks to pay for your stay from the time of booking. 4 payments are taken from a nominated bank account fortnightly. If you don't have the money in your account, you'll need to pay a late fee and your Afterpay account may be frozen.
