How to hack Click Frenzy™: How to find the best deals
We've compared brands across all the Click Frenzy™ online shops, so you can find out who's offering you the biggest savings. Don't buy anything till you've checked this out first.
Follow these tips to maximise your chances of scoring a decent deal:
- Sign up for a membership. Having a membership allows you to shop 30 minutes before the sale officially starts. It gives you access to the 99% off deals (though these still disappear quickly).
- Watch out for pop-up notifications. Deals are sometimes announced on the site with a pop-up when they go live.
- Remember to shop around. Many retailers don't pay to take part in Click Frenzy™ but run sales at the same time. Before committing to a purchase, make sure you can't find it cheaper elsewhere. Remember to look at the whole price, including delivery.
Click Frenzy™ in the media
The original Click Frenzy™ received an enormous amount of media coverage, being promoted in the news by Australia's free to air TV stations, along with coverage in newspapers. Several well known retailers including Peter Alexander, Myer, Dell and Target joined in to offer great deals specifically for the sales period through their eCommerce websites.
What major Australian retailers think
It appears as though there's a mixed view on the worthiness of Click Frenzy™. While many of Australia's largest retailers have embraced the event, others opt to keep their distance or directly compete. For example, in previous years Harvey Norman launched it's own sale – Shop Frenzy – to coincide with prior Click Frenzy™ events. Similar moves have also been seen from David Jones who have run offers including 20 percent discounts when you spend a certain amount.
With that said, there are certainly plenty of big names taking part in Click Frenzy™. It's probably the fourth biggest event on the sales calendar behind Black Friday, EOFY and Boxing Day.
