What is DL Gamer?

DL Gamer is a Paris-based online retailer that specializes in PC gaming. The site offers a wide range of digitally downloadable games at the standard retail price, or even at a discounted price, for use on both Windows and Mac.

What kinds of games can be ordered?

DL Gamer offers a wide variety of titles available for Windows and Mac devices. Games ranging in genre from sport to simulation and indie to role-playing, as well as downloadable content (DLC) for games that you already own, are all available. You can also pre-order some of the most prestigious and unreleased games through DL Gamer

Can console games be bought here?

Console titles and keys aren't currently available for purchase through DL Gamer, with the company stating that it's "focussing on PC and Mac only for the time being."

Where are the product keys from?

According to DL Gamer, all of its products are sold with publisher authorization, product keys are obtained from the publishers, and are "100% legit".

Do I need to make an account?

If you're just browsing the site, you won't need an account, but if something grabs your attention and you wish to place an order, you'll need to create an account. Game keys are delivered via the account page, hence the need for an account if you're buying.

How can I pay for my order?

According to the FAQ, orders can be paid for through "all major credit cards", PayPal, Hipay and bank transfers, though the payment gateway only indicates that Mastercard, Visa, American Express and CB (a French payment network) are accepted, as well as PayPal.

How do I receive the games?

DL Gamer provides you with an activation code specifically for the product that you've purchased. The code you receive will work with a specific platform, so make sure you've got the required software installed.

To receive the code, access your account page and click on My Products.

Digital distribution networks like Steam, Origin and Uplay use these codes to verify that you've bought the game. DL Gamer only sells digital download copies of games, so you're out of luck if you wanted a boxed version.

If my order doesn't work, what can I do?

You can submit a form or send the support crew an email at support@dlgamer.com. 7-day a week support is available.

Can I get a refund for my purchase?

Due to the unique nature of a product key, refunds for already-redeemed titles online can be challenging. DL Gamer, as listed in Article 9 of its terms and conditions, offers 14 days to cancel an order in accordance with EU consumer protections, though there are exemptions to this, such as if the code has already been activated.
