Stream Kayo FREE for 7 days
ESPN, which stands for Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, is a US-based pay TV channel that first came to life in 1979. The 24-hour pay TV channel has been available Down Under since 1995, with ESPN2 joining in the fun in 2011. It's the broadcast home of most big US sports in Australia, plus other events like UFC and the X Games and in recent years has broadcast Australian basketball. Each program comes with dedicated commentary and special programming. There are also analysis and talk shows such as Sportscenter, Pardon the Interruption, The Point and more.
As well as extended coverage of regional content in recent years, ESPN has also become more easily available. You can still get it via a pay TV subscription, but you can also watch content via live stream thanks to the emergence of services like Kayo Sports and Foxtel Now. Read on as we list the many ways you can enjoy ESPN on your favourite device.
Stream ESPN with Kayo Sports
Kayo Sports offers live and on-demand coverage of over 50 sports, including competitions and events broadcast by ESPN.
New customers get a 7-day free trial, so you can start watching ESPN for free right now. There are no contracts, so you can cancel your subscription anytime, too.
After your free trial, subscriptions to Kayo start from $25 a month and that lets you watch on 1 device at a time. If you're after more simultaneous streams, the Basic package at $35 a month allows 2 while the Premium package has up to 3 at once for $35 a month.
Kayo Sports' user experience is unmatched. A host of exclusive viewing features help single it out from its peers as does its affordable price. SplitView lets you watch 4 channels at once on the same screen. No Spoilers hides the scores and Key Moments lets you jump straight to the highlights of a game. There are interactive stats and you can choose your own camera options in some broadcasts as well.
You can access the streaming platform via the web using your PC or Mac. Or you can download the app to your preferred iOS or Android device. Plus, you can watch ESPN on the big screen thanks to Apple TV, Android TV, Telstra TV and Chromecast support.

The app is available exclusively to Foxtel iQ Sports HD pack subscribers for free. All you need to do is download it from Google Play or the App Store and use your Foxtel ID and password to log in.

ESPN is part of the Sport pack, which buys you access to a variety of sports channels, including all Fox Sports channels, all 3 beIN SPORTS channels and 2 ESPN channels. All channels stream live via the internet and the total cost is $29 a month.
Foxtel Now works with a variety of devices, including computers, smartphones, tablets, select Sony Android TVs, Telstra TV, Chromecast/Airplay, PS4 and the Foxtel Now box.

Both ESPN and ESPN2 are available with Fetch TV. They are part of the Vibe channel pack, which can be yours for just $6 extra a month. However, the total price of your subscription will depend on whether you buy your Fetch box outright or subscribe through a broadband provider.
