Stream UFC PPVs via Kayo Sports
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is surging in popularity. You can stream the mixed martial arts live action in Australia, catching the likes of Israel Adesanya, Islam Makhacehv, Australian trio Alex Volkanovski, Tai Tuivasa and Robert Whittaker and more in the octagon.
How to watch UFC in Australia
Depending on what UFC event you want to watch will determine how you can watch it in Australia.
UFC pay-per-view (PPV) broadcasts are only available to watch in Australia via Main Event.
You can live stream on Main Event via Kayo, or if you're an existing Foxtel iQ subscriber, you can order the PPV through there.
There used to be other options to watch UFC PPVs in Australia, but as of January 2024 these events are exclusive to Main Event.
For UFC live events that aren't PPV, you can watch on UFC Fight Pass.
A standard subscription to Kayo, Foxtel Now or Foxtel iQ allows you to watch UFC Fight Night events, as well as the preliminary bouts of UFC PPVs.

Live stream UFC with Kayo
A standard Kayo subscription gives you a number of ways to tune into the UFC. It has always offered select parts of all UFC Main Events with replays available as well. This is thanks to Kayo's access to ESPN content. ESPN has access to the prelims for the headline UFC events, but not the main card. Kayo also broadcasts entire UFC Fight Nights as part of a regular subscription, which often features some major fighters.
You can also watch Main Event broadcasts through Kayo. It is available to new, returning or existing Kayo customers.
You do not need a Kayo subscription to stream UFC pay-per-view events on Main Event, as these are purchased separately, usually at a cost of $59.95 each bout.
- Keep in mind. UFC pay-per-view events are not included in a regular Kayo subscription. If you're already a Kayo subscriber and want to watch a UFC pay-per-view event, you will need to pay extra for it in addition to your monthly fee.
Kayo offers a bunch of special features, including SpitView (watch 4 channels at once), No Spoilers (hide scores), Key Moments (a timeline of the biggest highlights of a match), Interactive Stats and more. It also features over 50 sports in addition to UFC.
Subscribers get to choose between different price points. $25 a month allows access to only 1 stream at a time. For $35 a month you'll be able to watch on 2 screens at the same time. As long as you have a compatible device, you can stream Kayo in 4K with its Basic plan.
A 7-day free trial is available for new customers.
Watch UFC on Foxtel
You're able to watch UFC PPVs if you're an existing subscriber to Foxtel iQ. You can place an order for the PPVs via the Main Event website, using the MyFoxtel app, your Foxtel remote or over the phone. Ordering over the phone incurs an extra $2 charge though, so if you want to save a couple of bucks, then order it via the other methods. Expect to pay about $59.95 per bout for these PPVs.
To get the full scope of UFC events on Foxtel iQ, you'd need the Sports HD pack, which is a premium add-on to the standard entertainment Plus package. With that, you'll be paying $100 a month to watch UFC events, plus any additional costs for PPV events. Foxtel broadcasts the same selected parts of UFC events, including live coverage of UFC Fight Night, as Kayo.
You can also stream some UFC action with Foxtel Now. You'll need the Sport pack in addition to the basic Essentials pack, which is $29 a month in total.
Foxtel Now is purely a streaming service and therefore the better option for those who want to stream UFC. Foxtel Now works on PCs/Macs, mobile devices, Chromecast/AirPlay, PS4, Telstra TV and the Foxtel Now box. A 10-day free trial is available for new customers.
- Watch out for. UFC pay-per-view events are unavailable on Foxtel Now or to watch via Foxtel Go. The only way you can watch a UFC pay-per-view event on Foxtel is via the iQ box.
Stream UFC with UFC Fight Pass
UFC Fight Pass showcases UFC's Fight Library, non-pay-per-view live events and other original series and shows.
It's important to note that on the big main numbered UFC pay-per-view events, only the early undercard prelims are shown live through UFC Fight Pass. It was one of the streaming platforms that was affected when Main Event became the exclusive home of UFC PPVs in Australia, as you can no longer watch them live on UFC Fight Pass.
It costs $10.99 a month to subscribe to UFC Fight Pass or you can take out a discounted annual subscription for $104.99.
While this works out to be the cheapest way to stream UFC (excluding pay-per-view events), keep in mind that you don't get access to extra sports like Kayo, or entertainment like Foxtel. You'd have to factor in whether you only want to stream UFC or whether you'd like to have something extra with your subscription as to whether this option is right for you.
