From breaking news to exclusive interviews, CNN is a solid source of information.

Founded in 1980, CNN was the first television channel to provide 24-hour news coverage. Available in over 200 countries, the channel has won numerous awards and honours for its news and documentary programming.

CNN offers an exciting line-up of news bulletins, miniseries, docos, in-depth news and information programs. Popular shows include Anderson Cooper 360°, Cuomo Prime Time, CNN Newsroom and Don Lemon Tonight.

The channel will launch a standalone streaming service in 2022, CNN+. However, the platform will only be available in the US. If and until that changes, read on as we list all the ways you can enjoy CNN on your favourite device in Australia.

CNN is available to all Foxtel pay TV subscribers, as part of the basic Foxtel Plus channel pack. The pack offers more than 50 channels of news, entertainment, lifestyle, reality, docos and more. You can opt solely for Foxtel Plus or add additional channel packs to your Foxtel subscription, like Sport or Movies.

Foxtel subscribers can watch channels included in their packs live or stream content on demand with the Foxtel GO app. Foxtel Plus costs $70 a month, but the company often runs special promotions. You may be able to score a discount or bundle Foxtel Plus with another pack at an attractive price.

Foxtel's Flash streaming service, which became available in October 2021, focuses exclusively on news. The platform aggregates over 20 news sources, enabling users to always be on top of what's going on worldwide.

Flash users can watch news channels live via the Internet, including CNN. That way, you can tap into the CNN feed anytime, anywhere. Besides, the service allows you to filter news by categories, create Flash Lists of content you want to come back to later and more.

New users get a 14-day free trial, after which subscriptions cost $8 per month. Flash is compatible with PC/Macs, Android and iOS phones and tablets, Apple TV, Telstra TV and Chromecast.
