How to watch Apple TV Plus on LG TVs: A step-by-step guide

Apple is known as a company that wants to ensure users stay in its ecosystem. There's no wonder it launched streaming service Apple TV Plus, which enables users to watch TV shows and movies exclusive to Apple.

The service is accessible via the Apple TV app, which also enables users to rent or buy movies from iTunes and works with a variety of devices. The list includes LG smart TVs.

Using Apple TV on LG TVs: Step-by-step guide

If you have a compatible LG TV, you can access the Apple TV app and stream Apple TV Plus originals without the aid of additional hardware. Simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to LG Home Launcher with your remote and locate the Apple TV app. If for some reason the app doesn't appear, navigate to the LG Content Store and search for the Apple TV app.

Step 2: Depending on model, you may have to select the Search icon or the Apps icon on the home screen, then search for Apple TV. Once discovered, click the Install button.

Step 3: Open the Apple TV app and select Start Watching.

Step 4: Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign In.

Step 5: Sign in with your Apple ID and follow the prompts to complete the set-up. If you don't have an Apple ID already, you can easily create one at https://appleid.apple.com/.

Step 5: Go to the Apple TV Plus channel and select Try Apple TV Plus Free. Then follow the prompts to confirm your subscription.
