How to watch Wimbledon 2023 tennis live in Australia

The Wimbledon tennis championship is back and you can watch every match on TV or via an online live stream in Australia.

After recently winning the French Open, you can now watch Novak Djokovic try to close in on a calendar grand slam as he looks to equal Roger Federer's record of 8 Wimbledon wins. Djokovic is defending Wimbledon champion, after winning the past 4 championships.

In the women's event, it looks like it will be a tussle between the world's top 3 players for the crown. There's reigning champion Elena Rybakina, recent French Open winner and world number 1 Iga Świątek and Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka.

Australians taking part in Wimbledon 2023 include Alex de Minaur, Jason Kubler, Alexei Popyrin, Chris O'Connell, Max Purcell, Jordan Thompson, Aleksander Vukic and Daria Saville.

How to watch Wimbledon 2023 live in Australia

Wimbledon 2023 runs from Monday 3 to Monday 17 July AEST and you have 2 ways to watch it live in Australia.

You can watch live and free on TV on the 9 Network, but it will screen ads throughout the matches. It will broadcast Wimbledon matches from 8pm AEST each night.

Depending on which state you're in and what time of day it is, you'll find Wimbledon on either the main Channel 9 or multi-channels 9Gem or 9Go, or you can stream via 9Now.

To stream Wimbledon via 9Now, all you need to do is register a Nine account if you don't already have one.

You will also have to watch whatever matches are presented to you.

However, if you want to enjoy Wimbledon 2023 live and ad-free during play, you'll need a paid subscription to Stan Sport. The streaming service will show every match of Wimbledon live and on demand, plus centre court action will be in 4K UHD.

Stan Sport is an additional $15 a month add-on to a normal Stan subscription. So the cheapest package for watching Wimbledon on Stan Sport will start at $27 a month.
