If you're a fan of golf, you'll know that there is usually a tournament being staged somewhere in the world, so where can you watch it?
The most comprehensive golf broadcaster in Australia is Kayo Sports. All of the Fox Sports channels and 2 ESPN channels are available through Foxtel directly (Foxtel iQ or Foxtel Now) or through standalone streaming service Kayo.
Kayo offers the ability to watch multiple feeds of the same golf tournament (selected tournaments only) or multiple golf tournaments if they're live simultaneously. This is available through SplitView, one of Kayo's many unique viewing features.
So what golf can you watch on Foxtel and Kayo Sports? And which of these services is right for you?
The following tournaments and tours are scheduled to be broadcast live on Foxtel and on Kayo Sports. That includes the major tournaments: The Masters, the PGA Championship, The Open and the US Open.

Kayo Sports allows you to stream all golf on the above schedule to a host of devices in high definition. This includes PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Apple TV, PS4, PS5, Telstra TV, Android TV, Chromecast and select smart TVs. We have a guide to help you through the process.
What's great about Kayo Sports is its availability, supplementary content (specials, highlights, talk shows, documentaries) and unique sports viewing features.
For specific events – such as The Masters tournament – Kayo Sports broadcasts 4 different channels of the event, each with a different camera view. You can then use SplitView to watch all of them at once, giving you unparalleled access to the Augusta course from the comfort of your lounge room.
Apart from golf, you also get access to 50 other live sports. There is no lock-in contract and starting at $25 for viewing on 1 screen at a time, it's excellent value. At $35 a month there's the ability to stream on 2 different screens simultaneously. Kayo also introduced 4K in February 2024 to its Basic plan.
A 7-day free trial is available for new customers.
Watching golf on Foxtel can be excellent, but its high price point means it is only a good fit for the very high-end fan.
You must subscribe to the base channel pack before you can access the Sports HD pack in all its glory. That's a cost of $100 a month and potentially a whole bunch of channels you don't need to just watch golf.
The good news is the Foxtel iQ5 set-top box allows you to watch golf in 4K. The golf needs to be broadcast in 4K, and you need to have a 4K TV to see it, but there's no doubt it's glorious to watch. You can also record to the box, giving you control of when you watch those tournaments – like the PGA Tour – that aren't available on-demand.
The Foxtel Go app comes with a Foxtel iQ subscription, which means you can stream golf to your mobile devices as well as watch it on TV for no extra cost. But given that both Kayo and Foxtel show the same live sports, it's hard to justify the extra cost of Foxtel iQ unless it meets your particular needs for 4K or additional non-sporting channels.

Important information about this website
Finder makes money from featured partners, but editorial opinions are our own.
findershopping.com.au is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stand by our editorial principles.
We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.
Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them.
Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.
Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.
We update our data regularly, but information can change between updates. Confirm details with the provider you're interested in before making a decision.
