Beginning as a spin-off of Arrow, The Flash boasts an impressive line-up of writing and producing talent, including Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow), Andrew Kreisberg (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Vampire Diaries) and Geoff Johns (Smallville, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). The series premiered back in 2014.
The show focuses on Barry Allen, who had a rough childhood. At just 11-years-old, he witnessed his mother die at the hands of something impossible, an unnatural force he couldn't explain. The world refused to believe him, sending his father to jail for murder and leaving Barry to be raised by friends instead of family.
Forever scarred by the tragedy, Barry dedicated himself to uncovering the truth about his mother's strange death, studying the fringes of science and technology and becoming a brilliant scientist in the process. Now, 15 years later, the impossible strikes again as Barry is caught in a lab accident that grants him superhuman speed.
Empowered by his newfound abilities, Barry vows to protect the innocent people of Central City from others like him who would use their powers for selfish gain. Evildoers beware: The Flash is here and he doesn't take things slow…
