Invincible is based on a comic book series created by Robert Kirkman, the same man behind phenomenon The Walking Dead.

It stars Steven Yeun as the title character, with J.K. Simmons voicing his dad. Besides, the incredible voice cast features Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Zachary Quinto, Jason Mantzoukas, Melise, Mark Hamill, Mahershala Ali, Seth Rogen and more.

Why get excited? First off, we need more adult animated superhero shows – and the talent behind this one is undeniable. Invincible looks like a fun mix of action and coming-of-age story, which should make it appealing to a wide audience. According to the creator, the series will follow the comics pretty closely, so long-time fans have even more reason to get hyped.

Finally, the show features plenty of violence, so it's definitely not what we would call family friendly. Teenager Mark embarks on a bumpy journey of embracing his powers, so we expect some welcome emotional depth as well. If you've grown tired waiting for season three of The Boys, Invincible seems like a worthy binge in the meantime.

In fact, Invincible has been so popular since its release Amazon confirmed on 30 April 2021, that id had already been renewed for two more seasons. They will both be exclusive to Prime Video in over 240 countries worldwide.
