Synopsis

Ross Poldark returns to England after fighting in the American Revolution. His family and friends thought he was dead. The woman he hoped to marry is now engaged to his cousin. His father has died and the property he inherited has deteriorated. Poldark faces the challenge of making his land productive, caring for the tenants who rely on him and trying to win back the woman he loved.

Based on a book series of the same name by author Winston Graham, the show is a British-American period piece based in the late 18th century.

Poldark seeks to rebuild his life and finds solace in the one thing that hasn’t changed, the gorgeous landscape of his hometown in Cornwall.
