Special Ops: Lioness is based on a real-life US military program where women are trained to infiltrate terrorist and criminal networks.

The show follows a young Marine (Laysla De Oliveira), who joins the Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organisation from within.

The station chief of this program (Zoe Saldaña) trains and leads her undercover operatives as she balances this with her personal life.

Also starring in Special Ops: Lioness are Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman and Nicole Kidman.

With Sheridan's shows already feeling like movies, the topline cast makes Special Ops: Lioness feel just as cinematic in scope.

Fans of Sheridan or the actors involved should check this out.
