The Idol preview

The Idol is co-created by Sam Levinson (Euphoria) and Abel Tesfaye (aka Canadian pop star The Weeknd).

It centres on pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), whose last tour was derailed by a nervous breakdown.

Now she wants to claim her status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in the US.

Her passions are reignited by Tedros (Tesfaye), a nightclub impresario with a sordid past.

Will her romantic awakening take her to glorious new heights or the deepest and darkest depths of her soul?

The series also stars Dan Levy (Schitt's Creek) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Only Murders in the Building).

The show also quite aptly features prominent musicians acting in the series such as Moses Sumney and Australian pop star Troye Sivan.

If you're a fan of Euphoria and/or The Weeknd's music, you will surely need to tune in for this.
