Back in 2014, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi directed the memorable mockumentary film What We Do in the Shadows, about a bunch of vampires who share a flat in Wellington. Fast-forward a few years and we can now enjoy a hilarious TV show with the same premise, this time set in New York.

Brimming with fast jokes, What We Do in the Shadows gets funnier with each episode thanks to the wonderful cast and clever writing. If you're looking for a delightful comedy to add to your entertainment roster, you can't go wrong with this one.

What We Do in the Shadows season 5 details

Season 5 of comedy What We Do in the Shadows premieres in Australia with a double episode on 14 July 2023. After that, you can watch episodes when they come out weekly on BINGE and Foxtel. In season 5, Nandor feels his familiar (and sometimes friend) Guillermo slipping away as he seems to be spending much more time with Laszlo, whose skills as a gentleman scientist are put to the test as he tries to solve the mystery of the strange and very secret changes Guillermo is going through. Nadja, suffering the effects of a previously-undiagnosed supernatural hex, reconnects with her family — or at least, a family — from the Old Country. Meanwhile Colin pursues the path of so many energy vampires before him by running for political office and The Guide tries to figure out where she fits in as the relative newcomer to this tightly-knit group who've known each other for centuries.
