Synopsis

Seemingly opposite street hoopers, Jeremy, an injury prone former star, and Kamal, a has-been prodigy, team up to take one final shot at living out their dreams.

Cast and crew

  • Jack Harlow
  • Sinqua Walls
  • Laura Harrier
  • Teyana Taylor
Taking place on the street courts of Venice Beach, Los Angeles, we'll see a new version that critics claim is more basketball-focussed than the original.

Jack Harlow will make his acting debut as the lead character Jeremy alongside Sinqua Walls, who plays Kamal.

White Men Can't Jump (2023) preview

After starting off as foes, albeit friendly, Jeremy and Kamal eventually put their differences aside to compete in a basketball tournament worth $500,000 to fix their financial troubles.

While the title implies it's all about the hops, Jeremy has had several knee injuries that has hurt his bounce. This sounds like every other recreational league basketball player's excuse, just minus the talent.

Harlow supposedly did some basketball training for the role. His fellow New Balance ambassador and NBA MVP Kawhi Leonard told him he had to "improve his layup package because it's ass".

Luckily in real life, Harlow has showed off that he has range.
