Zip Money is a buy now pay later provider that lets you buy items now, such as flights, and pay for them later.

When you opt to pay with it, you'll typically get a 3-month interest-free line of credit. However, there are a number of fees involved. This includes:

  • A $10 minimum monthly repayment when you have a balance outstanding
  • A one-time account establishment fee of up to $99
  • $9.95 monthly account fee if you have a balance outstanding
  • Interest – whatever amount you have owing after 3 months will accrue interest at a rate of 25.9% per annum
  • A late fee of $15 for a late Zip Money repayment will be charged 21 days after your contractual due date

How does Zip Money work?

Zip Money lets you make these big purchases and pay them back over 3, 6 or 12 months.

All you have to do is choose Zip Money as your payment option when you've found the ideal flight, fill out a quick application and be approved in real time.

Once approved, finalise your payment and you can continue to make payments wherever Zip Money is accepted.

You'll need to make minimum repayments of $40 per month to Zip Money. This is interest-free for a nominated period (usually 3 months). Once this has lapsed your remaining balance will incur interest.
